MEET OUR FOUNDERS

Meet Our Founders

Cory Qualls – Founder & CEO
Cory exemplifies hustle, hard work, and faith-driven leadership. A graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cory has always been passionate about turning ideas into reality through planning, problem-solving, and persistence. His professional journey began in construction, where he learned the value of building strong customer relationships, delivering quality work, and maintaining competitive excellence.

That same mindset now fuels CQ&E Trucking. Cory sees the business not just as a company, but as a calling. As a dedicated member of The Faith Center in Tucker, GA, his life and leadership were shaped by biblical principles of stewardship, consistency, and perseverance. Those values became the foundation of his personal formula — Consistency – Quitting = Empire — which he now applies to every aspect of the business.

Cory believes his role is bigger than moving freight; it’s about creating opportunities, building people, and honoring God in every mile driven.

Erianna Qualls – Co-Owner & Operations Partner
Erianna brings compassion, structure, and faith into everything she does. By profession, she serves as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, where care, precision, and teamwork are essential. Those same qualities carry into her leadership at CQ&E Trucking, where she ensures compliance, manages operations, strengthens customer relationships, and helps set the culture for long-term success.

Faith is at the center of Erianna’s life and leadership. As a member of The Faith Center in Tucker, GA, she experienced life transformation alongside Cory when they married, discovering a greater sense of purpose that extends beyond family and into business. She sees CQ&E Trucking as a vehicle — not just for freight, but for impact: building community, creating opportunities, and reflecting God’s love through service and excellence.

Her selfless personality and faith-driven approach have fostered lasting relationships that continue to strengthen the company’s growth and mission.

The Heart Behind CQ & E.

CQ & E. Trucking was not born out of convenience, but out of vision. Growing up in Pulaski, Mississippi, I didn’t see many entrepreneurs. Business ownership wasn’t something we talked about, and even if people around me were entrepreneurs, I didn’t recognize it at the time. It wasn’t until I branched out, left the familiar, and was given opportunities in other places that I began to see what was truly possible.

That journey began with Gregory Construction and later continued at Kiewit. At Gregory, I saw the early stages of a company grinding to build its name, operating out of a double-wide trailer before growing into brick-and-mortar offices, equipment yards, and fleets. Being part of that process showed me firsthand that growth is possible when vision meets hard work. And it was also at Gregory Construction, while working on their jobsites and watching the trucking companies they subcontracted with to get the job done, that I first obtained the vision of owning a trucking company myself — with the hope of one day partnering with companies like Gregory in the future.

During that same time, while working at Gregory, I also met Erianna, who would become not only my partner in life but also my partner in business. From that moment until the day CQ & E. Trucking was officially incorporated, she has been with me every step of the way.

When I transitioned to Kiewit, I witnessed the other side of the spectrum — a company that had been established since 1884 and had grown into one of the largest construction firms in the world. Gregory showed me what was possible in its infancy; Kiewit showed me what was achievable through longevity, discipline, and stewardship. Together, those two experiences gave me vision, perspective, and purpose.

While working for those companies, I gave everything I had — not just out of duty, but out of gratitude. Gregory and Kiewit were steppingstones that helped me discover purpose for my life, and I wanted to honor that by giving them my best. Even though I never truly wanted to leave, I knew God was calling me to something greater. Just as I was once that young man searching for an opportunity, there are others coming after me who need to see that it is possible.

This is the story of CQ & E. Trucking. We are here to do excellent work, build lasting partnerships, and provide opportunities for others — all while keeping God at the center of our plans. Because when we commit our work to the Lord, our path will always be established.

Sincerely,
